We are happy to announce the 5th International Conference of Engineering Against Failure (ICEAF V). The Conference will be held in Chios, Greece on 20-22 June 2018. The scientific responsibility of the ICEAF V Conference is shared between the Laboratory of Technology & Strength of Materials (LTSM) and the Applied Electronics Laboratory (APEL), both University of Patras.

ICEAF V will be the fifth event of a conference series which commenced in Patras on May 2008 and gathers high-level scientists from all over the world. The scope of the conference is to attract interdisciplinary work dedicated to prevention of failure in engineering applications. It includes design, material, manufacturing, production, assembly, maintenance and repair, control and systems aspects, etc. Works are expected to cover a number of different technological areas including aeronautics and space, automotive, mechanical and electrical engineering applications, etc.

Prospective authors are invited to submit an abstract (2-pages maximum) as Win-Word file. The abstracts will be evaluated, and upon acceptance, the authors will be informed about their presentation.

Abstracts must be submitted at the Conference Secretariat (iceaf_conferences@easn.net). The authors are strongly advised to use the following Abstract template (.docx file) found attached.

Full length papers (maximum 8 pages) must be submitted at the Conference Secretariat (iceaf_conferences@easn.net) by June 1st, 2018. Instructions for the preparation of the full length papers may be found attached.
